Pomona College is the top ranked liberal arts college in the United States (Forbes) and is one of the "5Cs", or the five colleges in the Claremont College Consortium.
Pomona's place within the Consortium (which also includes Claremont McKenna, Scripps, Harvey Mudd and Pitzer) gives its students the best of both worlds -- students have access to the resources and world-class faculty of a large research university, with the small, tight-knit community of a small liberal arts college. Altogether, the Claremont Colleges cover only 1 square mile of space and overlap quite a bit, with Pomona offering stellar departments across the social sciences, natural sciences, and humanities.
