The Daily Californian: Journalism at UC Berkeley

The Daily Californian at UC Berkeley is one of the largest, most influential student newspapers in the United States. Established in 1871, the "Daily Cal" earned its independence from UC Berkeley in 1971 and now stands as one of the few student papers in the country that is run entirely by students, completely independent from its affiliated university. This independence enables the Daily Cal's team of dedicated reporters and editors to cover university and community news throughout Berkeley fairly and impartially. Join Crimson as we learn about the one-of-a-kind opportunities and day-to-day operations of this award-winning paper from its student editors, reporters, designers and development managers!
